3 lbs of ground beef
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 cup of water
3/4 cup of uncooked lomg grain white rice
1 onion,finely chopped
salt
pepper
garlic powder
1 tbs of oil
1 head of green cabbage, shredded
1 1/2 tbs of kosher salt
1 1/2 cups of tomato juice
4 (8 oz) cans of tomato sauce
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1 1/2 cup of sugar
3 lemons
1/2 cup of raisins
1. combine beef, eggs, water, rice and onion. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Gently mix by hand. Set aside.
Heat oil iin large pot over med heat. Add cabbage and kosher salt. Add rest of ingredients.
Gently form meatballs . Don't handle too much. Add to cabbage mixture
Lower heat to medium low and simmer, covered, for 1 hour
